Ingredients​
Elephant Yam | 250 gms. |
Gingelly Oil | To deep fry |
Finely Cut Onions | 1/2 Cup |
Coriander leaves | 1 Tbl. Sp |
Powder together: | |
Roasted gram | 1 Cup |
Grated fresh coconut | 1 Tbl. Sp |
Green chillies | 8 |
Ginger | ½ inch piece |
Garlic | 4 flakes |
Aniseed | ½ tsp |
Cloves | 2 or 3 |
Cinnamon | 1 inch piece |
Salt | as required |
Methods
- Peel and slice the yam ad steam cook it in pressure cooker.
- Allow to cool and mash thoroughly.
- Powder the mentioned Ingredients first in a mixie, mix with boiled yam, onions and coriander leaves.
- If necessary add little water while grinding.
- Prepare small bondas and deep fry until golden in hot Oil. Serve with tomato sauce.
